1965 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP
On the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co..' rims
An 'MT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed, outlined mono logo cover.
Complete with an original poly-lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix nos: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2

Visual: VERY GOOD +
Very clean and bright surfaces which in strong daylight display nothing more than some light surface marks consistant with inner-sleeve removal but no significant marks or scratches. Close inspection directly beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals some wispy light hairlines but no major faults. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has recieved frequent but careful play & there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality throughout. Both run-ins are silent and I detected no background noise or groovewear to track. In fact, apart from a few light ticks in the band between the final two tracks on side 2, there is little to fault here.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A respectable strong & bright example. Its only significant blemish is a line of discolouration towards the front opening edge. Apart form that, this cover is undamaged and retains a clean rear panel free from any writing or missing paper. Both seams and the spine are strong, unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD
General storagewear but no writing, tears or splits.
