1965 UK 1st PRESS *STEREO* LP

**SUPERB EARLY COPY**

This fine 1965 UK 1st STEREO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The asterisk comes after the 'I Need You' song title on the side 1 label (on 2nd pressings it comes before).
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GT & 2/RG

Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS

Superb clean & glossy surfaces bearing just a few very faint inner-sleeve removal lines on side 2 but no scratches or other significant marks.
Close & careful inspection directly beneath a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy paper hairlines only.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: NEAR MINT

Barely played, all tracks sound completely 'as new' with no crackle or groovewear on any track.
Even the delicate 'Yesterday' plays without wear and the innermost tracks are clear & undistorted.
Both run-ins & all bands run silently and there are no clicks or any other audible wear whatsoever.


Cover: EXCELLENT

A very clean, high-gloss & unworn front panel displaying just a few light spine wrinkles and a single 'thumbnail' crease but no other wear.
There is minor buising to the left corners but both opening edges are clean & sharp with no significant wear or damage.
The rear panel is clean with a few small areas of light handling wear but no writing, marks or missing paper.
All flipbacks, spine & seams are intact, clean & undamaged.
