Description
THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This UK STEREO pressing of their 1965 album dates from early 1967 and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK....' text and 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1
Stamper codes: 1/MP & 2/MD
Vinyl weight: 142g
Housed within a thick card front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small solid 'stereo' front indicator.
Complete with its original black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Both are clean & bright with a small collection of spindle trails around each slightly worn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are 'as new' and completely unmarked in strong daylight with just a small handful of barely visible wispy paper hairlines visible directly beneath my unforgiving desk lamp. Both sides of this superb copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Played sparingly on high-end equipment, the sound throughout this wonderful sounding copy is warm, clean & unworn. My single careful play-check at volume found no evidence of any groove/playwear distortion. The only factor which prevented a straight MINT audio grade were two soft noises in the band between tracks 4 & 5 on side 2 which are not on the music and do not spoil the enjoyment of this superb sounding copy.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A respectable example of this scarce cover which bears moderate storage/handling wear, but no major faults. The front panel is clean overall with some toning along the opening edge & two small 'thumbnail' wrinkles which are just visible in the above left image. There is some corner bruising, most significantly to the lower two but both opening edges are undamaged. The rear panel bears some age-related blemishes which is mostly confined to the flipbacks which are all fully intact.
Both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed & undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD +
Clean & flat but discoloured with age. It is free from any writing, seam splits or tears.
