THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
1968 UK *STEREO* PRESSING LP
This superb 1968 stereo pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
On the side 1 label, the asterisk appears in front of the 'I Need You' title (on initial pressing it came after).
The 'KT' tax/price code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a thinner card, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1
Stamper codes: 2/MM & 3/PD

A pristine pair showing just a few tiny, faint spindle marks to each centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both sides of this flawless copy are totally unmarked surfaces in strong daylight. Careful examination directly beneath my halogen desk lamp reveals just a few barely wispy paper hairlines from the few times this copy has been outside its inner-sleeve but absolutely no scuffs, marks, scratches or any other visual wear whatsoever.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This wonderful and warm sounding copy has been barely played and as a result all tracks play cleanly & clearly without any groove/play wear or background noise. My careful play check at volume found no ticks, pops or clicks and apart from some light background on the run-ins and between some tracks, there is little to fault on this well-looked after and rarely played copy.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A very respectable example of this easily blemished cover which retains an unscratched & undamaged high-gloss front laminate with just 2 small 'thumbnails' & a few light spine bends but no other significant signs of wear. The corners have very minor bruising but both opening edges are clean, sharp & undamaged. The rear panel is very clean & white with no marks, writing or missing paper to any area. There is a small repair to the lowewr right corner flipback but both seams & the spine are smooth, unstressed & undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with light handling wear but no splits, tears or writing.
