1969 UK PRESSING 45
This is the first of two rare variants of this 45 which I have for auction this week.
This copy is a 1969/70 pressing on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5305
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' statement & the EMI boxed logo but retain 'Parlophone Co...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code remains visible in both run-outs only.
It is housed in its original plain white cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18280-2 & 7XCE 18281-2
Stamper codes: 15/ROM & 17/ROA

Visual: EXCELLENT
Both surfaces are perfectly clean, glossy & unmarked in strong daylight with just some blemishes inherent in the vinyl being the only issue beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
Play: EXCELLENT
This copy has received some careful play but there is no deterioration to the sound quality on either side or any evidence of groovewear to be heard.
Cover
VERY GOOD
Some general storagewear & a name written inside the rear opening edge. Easily replaced.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
