1969 UK *STEREO* PRESSING* LP

This hard to find NEAR MINT UK stereo pressing dates from mid-late 1969 & is on the final incarnation of the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3071

Both labels OMIT the 'Sold in UK..' text but retain their 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.

There is no purchase tax code is visible around the centre of either label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse ' printed cover with a small, solid front stereo indicator.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1

Stamper codes: 3/PR & 3/PL

A pristine pair with no more than two or three faint spindle trail around each totally unworn centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Immaculate & pristine playing surfaces which appear 100% 'as new' in strong daylight. Even close inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp fails to find anything more than a handful of barely visible wispy paper hairlines. This amazing, well looked-after copy appears here in virtually the same condition as it left the shops 41 years ago and would be extremely difficult to upgrade.

Play: NEAR MINT

This superb disc has clearly been played no more than two or three times at most and my careful play check at volume found no evidence of any groove/play wear or background on any track or in either channel. Both run-ins and all bands play silently and there are no ticks, clicks or any other such interference anywhere on this remarkable copy.

EXCELLENT

A superb example of this rare cover with a clean & bright front panel which retains a high-gloss, unscratched and uncreased laminate. There is a little shelfwear bruising to the corners wear but both opening edges are clean & unworn. The rear panel is clean & free from any significant marks or any writing or missing paper. There is a tiny spot or wear to the lower flipback but all are clean & fully intact. There is also a 2cm stress to the upper seam but the lower one os intact and the spine is perfectly worded & undamaged.

Inner-sleeve

EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with just the inevitable light disc impression & a few faint storage wrinkles, but no writing, seam splits or tears.
