THE BEATLES - 'HEY JUDE'/'REVOLUTION'

UK 1968 1st PRESSING 45

This hard to find pressing is a 1968 UK EXPORT pressing on the black & silver Parlophone label: DP 570

The 'A' side label bears a genuine red & white 'FACTORY SAMPLE' sticker.

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK.. text but have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rim texts.

A 'KJT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the 'Revolution' label.

Housed in its original green 'swirl' Parlophone company sleeve.

Matrix numbers: 7XCE 21185-1 & 7XCE 21186-1

Stamper codes: 1/RA & 4/RG

CONDITION

Labels: VERY GOOD +

Both are clean & undamaged but with numerous small spindle marks and minor centre hole wear to the 'B' side.

Visual: VERY GOOD

Both playing surfaces are clean but do bear a handful of surface marks which are mostly light fingernail scuffs. Inspection beneath halogen light reveals numerous wispy marks but nothing significant or serious.

Play: VERY GOOD +

Despite being played many times, this copy is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. In fact, apart from some light background at the beginning of 'Hey Jude', there really is little to fault overall. The explosive mono 'Revolution' is an incredible experience and alone a good reason to bid on this.

Clean & flat with just some age toning to the edges but no writing or seam splits.
