THE BEATLES - 'HEY JUDE'/'REVOLUTION'
1968 UK *PYE CONTRACT 1st PRESSING* 45
This rare PYE contract pressing is on the solid centred, dark green Apple label: R 5722
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text with the 'KT' price/tax code present in both run-outs only.
Housed in its original glossy Apple Records company cover.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 21185-1 & 7XCE 21186-1
Stampers: 14 with 'D' (hand-etched) / & 13 with 'D' (hand-etched)
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
Both are clean & bright with just a slight wear on the raised ridge on the 'B' side'.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both surfaces are clean and display no significant or major signs of wear in strong daylight. A few light hairlines are visible directly beneath my halogen desk lamp consistent with a small amount of careful play.
Audio: VERY GOOD +
There is some inevitable light background audible during the 1st verse but this disappears as the song builds. The immensely powerful mono 'Revolution' plays without fault or wear.
Cover: VERY GOOD
Clean & fully intact with just some general storagewear creasing but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
