All of the picture sleeves that are for sale this week have first pressing 45’s from the A-List of my collection. Most of these are either VG++ or Near Mint. The sleeves are at least in VG+ condition. Please have a look at them all!
Beatles I Want to Hold Your Hand Pic Sleeve VG++/NM Vinyl
Vinyl---Ever see a first pressing of this 45 in near mint condition? Neither have I. But this is as close as I’ve ever seen. Both sides of the 45 shine like blinding store stock condition under normal room lighting. But under the ultimate test of the bare bulb, there are several short, extremely faint lines that appear on the “I Want to Hold Your Hand” side. And even at that, it takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust in order for your brain to interpret where the light scratches are, so don’t look away right away to see them. There are far less of them on the “I Saw Her Standing There” side. But because they are there at all, I cannot refer to this disc as a near mint one. This is an East Coast pressing with Walter Hofer publishing credits.
Picture Sleeve---VERY nice sleeve. As any serious collector will attest, it’s almost impossible to find one of these without some level of dirtwear on them, because of the black and white graphics. This sleeve has precious little dirtwear on each side, that you might as well say that it isn’t there. VERY slight fading. Both sides have slight outdent, nothing serious. All seams are fully intact, no splits. Not even almost. Sleeve has the original price sticker on one side. All three sides have the black worn off from the years. This is a keeper VG++ sleeve.
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their picture sleeves in plain white generic sleeves, in order not to damage the picture sleeves during shipment.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
