Description

In this auction:

  • INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” LP by The Beatles

  • This is Vee Jay Records SR-1062.

  • It was released in 1964.

  • This is a RARE STEREO PRESSING.

  • As you probably know, ALL VEE JAY STEREO PRESSINGS ARE MUCH RARER THAN THE MONO PRESSINGS.

  • This is Version 2 of this LP title with column back cover and includes the cuts “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” that replaced “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You” which were on Version 1 of this LP.

  • The LABELS are BLACK with PERIMETER COLOR BAND and VEE JAY BRACKETS LOGO.

  • The labels have the printing “Long Playing” and “Microgroove”.

  • There were three typesetting variations. This variation has “STEREO” printed at the top of each label.

  • BOTH COVER and VINYL ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC! We know this because:

  1. The cover has George’s shadow and LP the title and the catalog number printed on the spine.

  2. The labels have “THE BEATLES” printed above the spindle hole.

  3. The labels have the color green in colorband. (Counterfeits with “BEATLES” printed above the spindle hole typically do NOT have the color green in the colorband of both labels.)

  4. The vinyl disc has the Audio Matrix logo partially stamped in the trail-off on both sides.

  • So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and not a counterfeit.

  • The COVER is in GOOD(G) to GOOD PLUS (G+) CONDITION. Clear tape along the bottom seam and a small tear at the lower left corner are the primary reasons the cover is not graded VG or VG-. Aside from the above flaws, the Cover has moderate overall wear. There is light partial- ring wear, some wear at the center and some wear at the bottom of the front cover slick. The corners have moderate to heavy wear and are “bald”. The top seam has some intermittent flaking that totals maybe 2 inches across the 12 inches of the top seam. The rear cover slick shows moderate aging, and there is an old original store price sticker at the top right corner. Even with these flaws, this STEREO VEE JAY COVER still displays quite well. (Please refer to the images)

  • The VINYL is in VG CONDITION. There are a number of very light surface hairlines/scuffs (none are “feel-able”), and the vinyl is quite glossy. I listened to several tracks of this LP and didn’t notice too many audio distractions.

  • This LP comes with a Vee Jay Records inner paper sleeve, but I don’t believe it is the correct sleeve for this Vee Jay issue. I believe it is for a later Vee Jay issue rather than for this LP.

Maybe you’re looking for a Vee Jay STEREO copy of “Introducing… THE BEATLES” for your vinyl collection.
