HERE IS A RARE WHITE VINYL VERY LIMITED EDITION PROMOTIONAL 12” SINGLE THAT WILL BE A WONDERFUL ADDITION TO SOMEONE’S BEATLES VINYL COLLECTION.

In this auction:

• “HAPPY XMAS (War Is Over)” by John Lennon & Yoko Ono

• This is a 12-inch single with a 3:14 edit of the song on both sides.

• It is pressed on WHITE VINYL.

• THIS RECORD IS A VERY RARE PROMOTIONAL PRESSING!

• It was released to promote a food drive co-sponsored by Richmond, Virginia radio station, WRXL, Richmond, Virginia TV station, WTVR, and the Central Virginia Food Bank Charity.

• IT WAS A VERY LIMITED ISSUE INDEED. ONLY 2000 COPIES OF THE RECORD WERE PRODUCED!!!

• Furthermore, this record was NOT FOR SALE & NOT FOR RESALE (which are printed on the label and on the rear of the cover).

• This record was authorized by Yoko Ono and Capitol Records.

• It was issued exclusively for the purpose of a very worthy cause: obtaining donations to benefit the Central Virginia Food Bank.

• IT WAS NOT SOLD IN STORES!!! The ONLY way an individual got possession of one of these records was to be one of the first 2000 contributors to the Central Virginia Food Bank (because with only 2000 copies, they ran out quickly) and your donation had to be $50 or more.

• This Capitol Records SPRO – 9894.

• It was released in November of 1986.

• This record was released with a CUSTOM PHOTO COVER. The cover was made from thin poster-board.

• ONLY 2000 WERE PRODUCED and THEY WERE SEQUENTIALLY NUMBERED ON THE FRONT COVER BELOW “LENNON” in YOKO ONO LENNON’S SIGNATURE.

• The copy in this auction as printed on the front cover is NUMBER “1872/2000” (or number 1872 of 2000 copies pressed).

• The WHITE VINYL is NEAR MINT.

• The GLOSSY COVER made of THIN POSTER-BOARD is in NICE VG+ CONDITION with just very light overall wear and signs of handling including: very light wear on the corners and edge; very tiny “pushes” on the bottom two corners; several small and very light creases at the spine; a very light surface (meaning only seen on one side) crease near the top right corner on the front side; a small light surface (meaning only seen on one side) crease at the bottom left corner on the rear cover; and a few light semi-circular surface (meaning only seen on one side) “bends” on the front cover at the opening that falls under light signs of handling from probably spreading the cover to take out and insert the vinyl. (Perhaps I am being too “anal” in listing the blemishes) The words “VERY LIMITED!” are written lightly on the front cover in faded marker near the spine which may lower the grade some. But as you can see, the COVER IS STILL VERY NICE WITH REALLY WHAT AMOUNTS TO A FEW MINOR BLEMISHES OVERALL.

Now, just ask yourself:

How cool would it be to own a John Lennon record where ONLY 2000 copies were produced worldwide?

VERY COOL!!! (It’s a RARE ONE, for sure!!!)
