Description
Here is another MINT STILL SEALED BEATLES or BEATLES-RELATED LP from my collection. Please check my other auctions for others.
In this auction:
· “MIND GAMES” by John Lennon
· This LP is Apple Records SW-3414.
· This LP was released October 31, 1973.
· This LP is in MINT STILL SEALED CONDITION. It is STILL in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. The Shrink Wrap has “breathe holes”. This LP has a “DESIGNATED PROMO” punch hole near the top right corner. There is slight wear on the bottom two corners where the shrink wrap is worn through. There is also a small 2 ½-tear in the shrink wrap near the lower right corner and a 4-inch tear in the shrink on the top edge above the promo punch hole that allowed light to moderate wear.
· The shrink wrap has “breathe holes” and there is NO BAR CODE.
· This LP is an APPLE RECORDS PRESSING. How do I know this, since the LP is still sealed? I recall maybe 10-12 years I won a couple of sealed Beatles LPs from Perry Cox, and he had stated that they had green Capitol labels (issued 1969-1971). The shrink wrap was split about 5-6 inches in the middle of the opening with 2 pieces of clear tape at the top and bottom of the cut to avoid complete splitting of the shrink wrap. I understand that this was done to spread the opening a bit, and with a small light, shine inside to see the label.
· I followed the same procedure on this LP. I applied 2 pieces of clear tape about 3 inches from the top and bottom of the opening and slit the shrink wrap in between the 2 pieces of tape. I had to slit the white paper inner sleeve because it did not have a die-cut center hole. With my phone, I shined a light inside and took photos of the full-apple and sliced-apple labels.
· So, a RECORD WITH APPLE LABELS is GUARANTEED to be INSIDE this STILL SEALED COVER.
