For sale is a limited issue release by Quaker Oats Granola Dipps. It’s a flexi-disc featuring a ‘Tribute To John Lennon’. It was one of five different ‘Great Moments of Rock 'N Roll’ series flexi-discs that were given away in specially marked packages of Granola Dipps. The sweepstakes started in September 1986 and ran until April 30, 1987. The 5.25” disc plays at 33 1/2 RPMs. An announcer talks about Lennon with snippets of some of his songs from the Double Fantasy and Milk & Honey albums. At the end, you would find out if you won a prize. This has not been played so we’re not sure of the length of time but probably a few minutes. Nice Lennon/Beatles collectible from the mid-80’s.
