This REMARKABLE MINT Example is the FINEST that we have ever offered and looks like it would have done when it just left the pressing plant 46 years ago!
Released by Parlophone UK in 1962 'LOVE ME DO' was the Beatles FIRST UK Vinyl 45 on the Red and Silver Parlophone Label. Both labels carry the 'Made in Gt Britain' text and 'Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd' publishing credits.
The matrixes are 7XCE 17144-1N and 7XCE 17145-1N, and the stampers. 1/M and 1/A. A single letter tax/price code of 'Z' is embossed to the centre of the side 2 label. 'ZT' codes are stamped in both run out grooves.
The disc is housed in its ORIGINAL multi-coloured 'diamond' shapes Parlophone Company sleeve.
Both labels are in PERFECT mint condition - there are NO spindle marks or spider trails to either side of the 'AS NEW' record labels. The disc too is mint, 'AS NEW', just as it would have looked when it left the record store over 46 years ago. IMMACULATE playing surfaces on both sides, even in strong daylight, with not a mark or hairline in sight! The Paper Sleeve is SUPERB, Clean, CRISP, UNDAMAGED, with NO seam splits, showing no more than a little mild, inevitable, record impression.
Matching the visual grading is the SOUND QUALITY which is also mint, both sides play PERFECTLY, Like New - you will never hear a better example.
This example will NEVER REQUIRE UPGRADING and can only appreciate in terms of INVESTMENT potential!!
