Offered for its rarity rather than condition
This copy is as close as you will get to the legendary demonstration issue of The Beatles first single
The white label demo carries no mother numbers and both sides display the JR stamper code. This code is unique to demo discs and stands for Journalist Review intended for pre-release records
Although the commercial, red label issues, first off the press, should carry a 1G mother/stamper both sides, a few copies still retained the demo stamper on side 2, in error
As you can see from the labels, the myth that only early issues omitted the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text is untrue

The Vinyl
Visually: No beauty contest winner - lots of surface lines/scuffs - the surfaces are dulled
Audio: Please read carefully: The Good News - plays through, both sides with no skips or stalls - there is distortion evident but the main vocal and music are surprisingly clear and sharp: The Not So Good News -crackle and pops/ticks here and there but not all the time
A rare example that is playable but not for the audiophile

Great condition - spindle trails - light impression of owners name but not too obvious (see photos)

Original company issue - age related wear but no major faults
