Item Description & Condition:
’LOVE ME DO/PS I LOVE YOU’ was The Beatles FIRST UK Single.
Released by Parlophone, UK on 5 October 1962 - over 48 years ago - this RARE SECOND PRESSING VINYL 45 was released by Parlophone in 1963, on the FAMILIER BLACK & SILVER Parlophone Label, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd....’ label rim in lower- case and With ‘Recording First Published 1962’, and ‘Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd’ publishing credits.
Side 1 matrix: 7XCE 17144-1N and Side 2: 7XCE-17145-1N.
Side 1 stampers: MPZT/RH and Side 2: MPZT/RO.
Both sides of the record labels are in EXCELLENT PLUS condition, showing just a few light centre spindle marks. There is NO fading to the silver text and NO hand writing or sticker marks to either label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in EXCELLENT lovely bright glossy vinyl surfaces showing nothing more than light surface hairlines,with the exception of a small scratch on side 2 that produces a light click for about 15 seconds There are NO other deep scuffs or deep scratches to either side.
Play Quality:
Both sides play very well throughout,lovely audio, and only very mild background crackle to both tracks can only be heard at low volume
The Vinyl 45 comes in its ORIGINAL Parlophone Company Sleeve, which is in RESPECTABLE EXCELLENT condition. Just some light creasing and age discolouration.
Overall a very nice example of this VERY RARE COLLECTIBLE 1963 second pressing BEATLES UK Single.
