READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1964 Meet the Beatles MONO First Full Pressing 1 BMI, EX/NM Beauty!

Not counting the rarest pressing with no ASCAP or BMI designations.  The first pressing that did include those designations credited the first track to BMI, and then the rest were all ASCAP.

And as you might well imagine, most of those from that first run weren’t treated kindly by wild-eyed teenagers when those first notes came blaring.

This copy is a stunner keeper!

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  This copy looks very nearly as it did in 1964, when the shrinkwrap came off.  Just a few extremely light lines per side.  This copy is definitely someone else’s NM.

Plates--- G4/P3.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- Strong VG+.  Front cover has two small vertical flecks in the slick at the bottom.  Back cover has a thin strip of slick missing horizontally across their heads.  Otherwise, this is a beautiful cover.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Labels look 1964-brand new, full color, full gloss.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG. Original dark purple 1963 Capitol sleeve is present. Sleeve presents EX, but the seams are all split to varying lengths.  Name written in pencil on both sides, which don’t show up easily against the purple.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 3

This is going to make a very impressive Christmas gift this year for your Beatles collector.  Or you could treat yourself instead, and keep quiet about the whole ordeal.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
