READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
**This week, there will be a handful of MONO Beatles albums for sale, that fall within the VG+ range. If you’re looking for great play copies that still have collectability for your library, but aren’t necessarily top keepers, these will suit you perfectly. **
Beatles LP 1965 Beatles VI MONO First Pressing Scranton, EX Vinyl!
Vinyl--- EX. Side 1 is essentially NM, with the exceptions of maybe two extremely light lines. Side 2 is such a strong VG+ that some would grade it EX. It has a few long and very light needle marks that you’ll have to tilt toward a light source to find. See photos.
Plates--- F7/F5. Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.
Cover--- VG. Has general wear for a cover that’s 60 years old.
First pressing cover has the disclaimer on the back cover, “See labels for correct playing order.” Later covers were corrected shortly after these were printed.
Labels--- NM/EX. Side 1 label looks newly-printed. Side 2 label has just a couple of light flecks.
First pressing label has the title, “Words of Love” credited to ASCAP. Subsequent issues changed the credit to BMI.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG. Some copies of Beatles VI were issued with this scarcer cream-colored inner sleeve that features the words, “Capitol Records, Inc.” in two rows around the perimeter. This is the sleeve that’s present. Bottom seam has a 3-inch center split. Otherwise, the sleeve presents as Excellent.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.
RIAA: 3
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
