READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

I recently took in a large collection of Beatles albums, which range in condition from a nice VG to EX.  They feature labels from first pressing Capitol to Apple through to the purple Capitol label.  I tossed out all the garbage, and will be selling these copies interspersed with my regular inventory for anyone who would like to have great play-copies, but who generally can’t afford the rarer variations for sale.

The vinyl is collectable on these, although the covers may be a bit dirty, and/or split.  Here’s one that’s a great keeper.

Beatles LP 1965 Something New Jacksonville First Pressing STEREO in Shrink, NM Vinyl!

Yeah, I hear you.  If “Something New” came out in 1964, how can a 1965 copy be a first pressing, right?  Well, that’s because it’s a Jacksonville first pressing.  The Jacksonville plant went online in the early summer of 1965, by which time, the “Nicholas” error had been corrected to “Nicolas.”  That’s why there are no first pressing Jacksonville copies with the error.

This vinyl is beautiful!

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  Just some manufacturer’s cloudiness on both sides that isn’t bad at all.

Plates--- W6/W6.  Letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- VG.  Shrink did a slightly horrible job, protecting the cover.  However; it is the original shrink.  Heavy dirtwear on both sides, some yellowing on the back cover.  Mouth has moderate waviness.  Small splits less than an inch to the top and bottom seams.  Shrink has a few sizeable tears, which is why it didn’t protect the cover.  Light mildew smell, not bad.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover.  One is northeast of Ringo’s head, the other is due south of that one, to our right of Paul’s knee.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Beautiful Jacksonville in-house text printed on Scranton backdrop labels look 1965-brand new.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG. Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Sleeve has moderately yellowed.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 4

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
