CONDITION

Disc

Visual: EXCELLENT-

Side one has what appears to be some superficial spindle trails, these are visible in daylight, they are however non feelable and do disappear when angled away from the light. Under a strong halogen desklight there are some light handling and whispy sleeve removal marks, side one is conservatively graded at very good plus. Side two appears virtually unmarked in strong daylight except for a non feelable scuff mark. Nothing more is revealed under a strong halogen desklight other than some ultra faint superficial handling marks. Side two grades at excellent. The record is free from any scratches or heavy marks. Overall the vinyl grades at excellent minus. The vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.

Labels: EXCELLENT+

A great set of unworn labels which still retain their original freshness. There are some light spindle trails and judging by these the record has not received that many plays in its lifetime. Side two carries the KT tax code

Audio: EXCELLENT

There is some occasional surface noise and I did detect some playwear on the occasional track but overall the record plays well. There are no loud pops or ticks and the vinyl does not jump or stick.

Cover

EXCELLENT

An original 1st issue patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse cover dating to 1965. The front panel shows very little signs of handling. There is the odd light thumbnail and some minimal light wear to the bottom right corner but overall the panel is fresh and undamaged. The back panel is in superb condition showing no real signs of discolouration so commonly associated with this cover. It is evident that is has been stored in a smoke free environment since new. There is no writing or personlisation to any part of the cover and all flipbacks are strong and intact. The spine is undamaged and the wording is clearly visible. Most original Help! covers have not aged well, most are soiled and are severely discoloured, so they are becoming tough to find in this condition.

Inner-sleeve Excellent-

Original and correct Emitex rice paper inner.
