READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP 1968 Meet the Beatles Subsidiary of Cobalt Blue Domes & Text, Shrink EX!

It’s very difficult to complete this part of the run.  Only a very small section of the “Subsidiary of…” labels were printed with these deep cobalt blue domes and bottom perimeter text.  Likely meant to have hearkened back to the original labels from 1963, these labels were quickly switched (or maybe switched back) to the silverish-white dome labels.

This one’s beautiful.

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  Both sides shine as though they are very nearly new.  There is a light amount of manufacturer’s cloudiness to each side, but it’s minimal.

Plates--- W1/W1.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- EX.  The shrink did a nice job, protecting the cover about 95%.  The only damage is that there is yellowing down the mouth on both sides.  Shrink is torn in a couple of areas.

Original price code sticker is still affixed to the shrink on the front cover.

There’s also a slight gouge that follows the contours of the broken shrink below Ringo’s chin.  Original owner must have tried to cut the shrink with something in order to open the album.

NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Breathe Holes--- There is one breathe hole on the front cover at the bottom, south of John’s chin.

Labels--- NM/NM.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+.  Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Sleeve shows moderate browning on both sides, but there are NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 12

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
