READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP 1968 Numbered White Album Scranton First Pressing COMPLETE, Top Copy, EX!

One of the very best copies of this album that I’ve ever seen.  Not only is the cover close to its original cream-color white, but the rare spacer is also included and in remarkable NM condition.

Vinyl--- EX/EX. EX/EX.

The only reason that all four sides cannot be graded as NM is due to some very light manufacturer’s defects in the vinyl.  Otherwise, these two LP’s look suspiciously unplayed.  Not kidding.

Plates--- J58/J45. J47/J53.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- EX.

*Very beautifully maintained.  White with just a little yellowing uniformly.  Cover appears to be a nice cream-colored, very close to its whiteness from its day of issue.

*Very nearly 100% original heavy gloss.

*Record outdent is truly negligible.

*Bottom left corner has a moderate crease.  That’s the only real issue with this cover.

*Top back pocket has a one-inch split, and a much lighter slick crack.

*All other seams are muscular-strong, NO SPLITS.

*Spine still has 100% lettering as legible as the day of its printing.  Spine is muscular-strong, NO SPLITS.

Gatefold--- EX.  Same condition as the cover, NO SPLITS.

Labels--- NM/NM. NM/NM.

Not one spindle mark among the four labels.  All four are bright and sharp, 1968 brand-newly printed looking.

Poster--- VG+.

Poster has full 100% gloss, but a moderate amount of light wrinkles and finger divots.  NO SPLITS.  “Printed in U.S.A.” circle is present at bottom corner.

Photos--- VG+.

All four photos have yellowed slightly.  All four have pinholes from having been hung.  100% original gloss.  “Printed in U.S.A.” circle is present at bottom corners.

Spacer--- NM.

By far, most spacers you will find will either be yellow or white.  This is the rarer baby aspirin orange spacer.  Lies perfectly flat, corners are razor-sharp.

*When determining whether spacers are original to the albums, be 100% positive that they are almost exactly the same size as the photos!  7 3/4 x 10 7/8 is what they should be.  There should be a 1/8-inch lengthwise overhang to protect the photos.

8x10’s are just modern colored sheets of typewriter paper replacements.

This spacer is the appropriate size.  See photo.

Apple Inner Sleeves--- VG.  Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present and in VG condition.  Moderately yellowed and worn.

Generic white inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Apple inner sleeves en route.

*This is your complete keeper copy.  An upgrade will never be required for your collection unless you’re looking for a copy still in the shrink.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
