Description

(Note:  If you win multiple items in a week’s listings, please wait for the end of all of the auctions for me to invoice you, so that you can take advantage of my combined shipping offer.  Thanks!)

READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP 1970 The Beatles’ Christmas Album GENUINE Still in Shrink, EX/NM Vinyl, UNPLAYED!

**If you don’t know how to properly handle vinyl, please send the link to this auction to someone who does.  And if you do know how to properly handle vinyl, do yourself a favor and clip your nails before handling.**

I bought two copies still sealed, and opened this one to make sure it was a legit copy.  It is, 100%.  I have never played this copy, so it should technically be considered NM.  However; each side does have a few manufacturer’s defects, so we should downgrade it to EX.

A stunning keeper!

(And no, I’m not interested in selling the sealed copy right now.)

Vinyl--- EX/NM.  Unplayed vinyl shines 98% like it’s brand new!

Plates--- SBC-1-100 A/SBC-2-100 B.  No plate designation, since this was to be the one and only pressing.  All of the following markings must be present on original copies, and all of them are present:

** “Bell Sound”

**Sf

**Hand-etched Delta symbol (or rifle) in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Winchester.

Cover--- NM.  Still in shrinkwrap, some dirt on the shrink itself, but no wear to cover at all!  All seams and spine are muscular-strong, NO SHELFWEAR, NO RINGWEAR, NO SPLITS.

**Spine has fully legible print.

**All photo images are sharp and crystal clear.  Mouth is razor-sharp, ABSOLUTELY NO FRAYS FROM USAGE.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover.  One is just below John’s furthest right photo at the top, the other is due south in the furthest right Ringo photo near the bottom.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Both labels look 1970-brand new.

**Capitol concentric ring is ¼-inch from the playhole.  If your copy’s label ring is closer to the outer edge, I’m sorry, but you have a fake copy.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- NM.  Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A.

**This is a VERY special NM copy of this incredibly hard-to-find album!  It’s going to be someone’s prized keeper for life. **

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
