Description
This is a very lovely copy of "A Hard Day's Night,' in the Mono format, in it's original shrink, a real first pressing, and with a cool hype price sticker. The cover is quite beautiful with no wear ring on the front and back, the left corners are still covered by the shrink but the lower right corner has a small ding, the back cover is a nice white with no wear ring on the black and white photos, no seam splits, and a beautiful spine. This copy has the copyright error that was issued on the first pressings: (The album stated “All songs published by Maclen Music, Inc. and Unart Music Corp. (BMI) except ‘This Boy’ which is published by Maclen Music, Inc. (BMI).” Thus, the first pressings of the album were issued with covers listing This Boy as the only song published solely by Maclen. Corrected label copy was prepared on June 29, which stated “All songs published by Maclen Music, Inc. and Unart Music Corp. (BMI) except ‘This Boy’ and ‘I Cry Instead’ which are published by Maclen Music, Inc. (BMI).” This change was made when United Artists learned it did not have a publishing interest in “I Cry Instead” because the song was dropped from the film.) I would grade the cover at least near mint 8 out of 10 or 8/9. The hype price sticker is also quite interesting. It is not attached to the shrink nor to the outside cover, but is attached to the inside cover. The only store I can remember doing this was White Front Department Stores. Quite cool. Using a 100 watt bulb to grade by, the vinyl is also quite nice. Only some light marks are visible while the fidelity is clear and crisp with only some light surface noise between tracks. I grade the vinyl at vg++. The labels are quite lovely as you can see. Well-taken-care-of. Labels are near mint8 and near mint 9. Questions?? Please email me.
