Beatles A Hard Days Night LP - Stereo
1964 album
Parlophone PCS 3058 stereo
Matrix numbers - YEX 126 - 1 (side 1) and YEX 127 - 1 (side 2) - my understanding is that these matrix numbers mean the album is a first press
I acquired this album recently and was surprised when I removed it from its inner sleeve to inspect it ... believing I may have acquired something a bit special I consulted a record dealer who agreed with me that the album has been well looked after ... he advised it was best to be moderate when grading albums so as not to disappoint a buyer and graded it as a very strong, very good copy ... I have also consulted a friend about this album who is a musician and very familiar with this sort of item ... he graded the album higher ... he was also kind enough to take the photographs for me to put on e bay ... his camera is of higher quality than mine and can produce sharper pictures
The vinyl is lovely and shiny and has to be held under strong light to notice the faintest of marks
I have played the album all the way through on new, high quality sound equipment ... its a nice level album ... there are no jumps, skips etc (I would have been surprised if there had been going by the quality of the vinyl) ... I haven't got an expert ear when it comes to listening to music but I am confident to say the album plays nice and smoothly throughout
The album comes in a Garrod and Lofthouse cover ... think the type of cover is known as a flipback cover ... this has obviously been as well looked after as the album ... there is a little bumping to the corners but the spine is fully intact and reads A Hard Day's Night - The Beatles
