READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP Abbey Road 1971 in Shrink, Gorgeous NM Jacksonville Pressing!

“Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” disclaimer appears at the bottom of the Side 1 label.  Vinyl looks incredibly unplayed.

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  Jacksonville pressing that uses thinly-banded tracks and flexible vinyl.  If this copy plays with any surface noise, it will come back to life with a good VPI cleaning or a D4 application and a play or two.

Plates--- F42/F39.  Letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- VG+.  Presents very well, but the back cover has just a few very small pock marks, plus the top and bottom corners of the mouth have small areas of wear and push-in.

Cover does not list “Her Majesty.”  Inside pocket is the new construction cover for 1971, with the white inner, as opposed to the previous cardboard inner cover.

About a third of the shrink is missing on the back cover as well.

Breathe Holes--- There is one breathe hole on the front cover between George’s feet.  There may have been a second breathe hole on the back cover, where the shrink is missing.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Side 2 label does list “Her Majesty.”  Both labels look absolutely brand new.  NOT ONE SPINDLE MARK BETWEEN THEM.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+. Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Has some foxing on the seams, but NO SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if I were told that this copy has never been on a turntable.  The vinyl is that clean.  Collector or not, this will make a fantastic Christmas gift.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
