CONDITION
Disc
Visual:
Side 1 EXCELLENT+
Still retains its original sheen and only shows signs of very light handling. There are no major marks or scratches.
Side 2 MINT-
Appears mint in strong daylight and is free from any marks, scuffs or scratches. Under a strong halogen desk light there are signs of whispy sleeve removal marks. The record lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: EXCELLENT+
Superb audio with no groove wear. Some light surface noise is detectable on some parts of the record as is common with ‘Abbey Road’ but all in all a fantastic listening experience. There are no pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick.
Labels:
EXC+/MINT-
A fresh set of labels showing no wear other than a few very faint spindle trails. (N.B. The area around the song credit for 'The End' reads 'McCartn', this is not wear but a printing error made in manufacture)
Cover
MINT-
Abbey Road as most collectors will probably know is possibly the most difficult Beatles cover to get in mint or mint- condition; this due to it being manufactured on thin card and with a very narrow spine. This cover however is in absolute stunning condition and looks like it was purchased only yesterday. A whisper off being graded as mint, there is very little to fault this cover other than a very faint thumbnail crease to the opening edge on the back panel. The laminate still retains its pristine high gloss finish and there is no trace of ringwear so normally associated with this sleeve. Without doubt an investment grade example and so very tough to find in this condition.
Inner-sleeve Exc.+
Clean & correct with just a touch of light storage creasing.
