This is the final interview of George as we knew him as a Beatle.  He is still relaxed, funny and in his spiritual mode.  After this one, he became a bit acidic and impatient when it came to speaking with the public.

Curiously, the interviewer, Jim Ladd, known for his series of “InnerView” Radio Shows in the 70’s and into the 80’s doesn’t know who George is.  He seems to think he’s Jeff Beck!  In his introduction, he refers to George as “his favorite member of The Yardbirds.”  Now, that HAS to be George pulling Jim’s leg, and Jim running with it.

The interview discusses many tracks from George’s self-titled album, and the inspirations behind them.  Not all of them.  Plus, George is still interested in discussing The Beatles, which is refreshing.  The segments are generous, the original radio commercials from 1979 are intact, and some of the background music to the talking is surprisingly the music from his “Wonderwall Music” LP.

In the same sense that Lennon’s WNEW “Listen to This Picture Record” interview is a relaxed afternoon on the couch with John, this is George’s.  A wonderful session that goes way too fast, despite its length.

And a very rare record.

Vinyl--- VG++/VG++.  Both sides shine with 90% original gloss.  However, each side also has one or two light scuffs which are not feelable with the fingertip.

Plates--- VC-5278-A/VC-5278-B.

Cover--- EX.  Very light record outdent.  Back cover has just a light sense of yellowing.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Labels--- EX/EX.  Both sea-green speckled labels are gorgeous semi-glossy.  Just very light, very short spindle marks only.  And not many at that.

Dark Horse Inner Sleeve--- VG.  The original generic white inner sleeve had pretty much gotten brown and brittle, with all the seams split so widely that the record wasn’t even being held in it.  So just for fun, I swapped it out for a company Dark Horse inner sleeve.

Sleeve presents very well.  But one side seam and the bottom seam have splits a few inches long.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Dark Horse inner sleeve en route.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
