READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles LP Hey Jude 1975 Apple All Rights 2 Lines on Side 1 UNDOCUMENTED EX!

As many collectors may have seen coming, all this talk about the “Hey Jude” album with the “All Rights Reserved” disclaimer on two lines out of LA being classified as not confirmed nor documented actually HAS been.  So far worldwide, this is the only copy from that run to surface.

All the great books still report that this variation is suspected not to have been pressed.  Many thanks to Perry Cox and his wonderful books to have provided many of us with the impetus to go on the hunt.  He has provided the template and the standard for the rest of us to fill in the blanks.

Vinyl--- EX.  Both sides still shine like brand new.  Side 1 has just one long and extremely light line.  See photo.  It’s brightened in order to make it show up.  Side 2 has two very short, very light lines.  Otherwise, it also glows with new gloss.

Plates--- F6/F5.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.

Cover--- VG+.  Structurally solid cover.  Both front and back covers have just a light amount of ringwear and record outdent.  You know how this back cover is susceptible to moderate ringwear?  Not this one.  See photo.  All seams are strong, although the spoine has some crackle to the slick.  NO SPLIT SEAMS.

Labels--- EX.  Both sides are bright green LA new-looking.  But each side also has just a few short and light spindle marks.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG. Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  All three seams are split a few inches.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A

Since obtaining this copy in 2004, I have put the question out to my circle of collectors worldwide, whether they own a copy, and can send a photo with them holding it.  In 21 years, no one has produced a photo.  There must be other copies out there, but besides this one, no others have surfaced.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
