Description

Up for auction an original UK Beatles Let It Be Box Set in VG condition, as I understand it or read somewhere, the original box set was sold for the first 6 months of release after which the LP began being sold in just the single pocket jacket, I know the red apple on the back cover is what differenciates the original cover from the later issues with the green apple on the back cover but I'm not sure if the red apple cover was exclusively sold in the box set, I don't think so, but not sure.

The outer box is in VG+ condition, it has a crunch on the top center which although there is no real damage just bad looking laminent, it is a slight distraction, there is also a crease near the bottom left corner the has pulled away from some of the laminent, both are pictured, there is also a crease in the upper right corner but no laminent damage so it's not so distracting there are some small less noticable creases one on the front left in the center and a few on the back outer cover.

The single pocket record cover is also in VG+ condition due to a 3 inch crease in the far right front cover in the black area near Paul. Somewhat distracting. No other notible distractions with the single pocket cover.

The record is in VG+ condition with a few very slight hard to see hairlines and a small half inch scuff none of which would effect play. There are a number of spindle marks on the lable so this record has seen some play time. The matrix number in the trail off of the record reads YEX 773-2U on side 1 and YEX 774-2U on side 2.

The Book is in nice VG++ condition due to a few small handling creases on the front cover and one, 1 inch crease on the back cover of the book.

The cardboard slip in carrier that house all the inside stuff is in VG condition due to the many wrinkles on both flaps and a 1 inch tear in one of the flaps that had been glued back together and now looks like just another crease, also alot of the color along both sides of the flap edges have worn away.

The book holder cardboard insert is in G- condition due to it once being in 4 pieces, all 4 pieces had been glued back together. The repaired book holder is actually working quite well, holds the book and is holding together nicely. Those 4 areas that had been repaired have been touched up.

I hope all the detail that I have described in this add is visible to you in these 12 photos.

A little bit about me, I started collecting records in 1994 back in the Goldmine Magazine era some years before Ebay. I've never purchased records with the thought of reselling them, I bought them because I loved records and wanted to gradually build my own personal collection. Many times I'd upgraded and then upgraded again just to get that perfect cover and record. Along the way I've been hit by surprises and ripped off hundreds of times by know it alls and MINT monsters who almost always over grade everything. So as a buyer I know exactly how it feels to be ripped off.

I occasionally sell records on Ebay. As a seller I am probably one of the lousiest money makers out there. I believe I should be right up front in detailing my items and grade them accordingly, and there should be no surprises to the buyer when they receive their item. In other words exceed the buyers expectations.
