Beatles LP MONO Rubber Soul in Shrink with Rare HYPE Sticker

This is a Los Angeles second pressing from 1966, with the yellow hype sticker.

Vinyl--- Not NM, but man, is this thing stunning gorgeous.  Vinyl looks NM unplayed until you shine it toward a bare bulb.  There, you will see one or two extremely light lines per side.  Amazingly well-cared for vinyl.

Does not have the false start on “I’m Looking Through You,” does have the cough in “Norwegian Wood” (mixed out of the stereo mix) after the line, “sit anywhere” between the third and fourth strums of John’s acoustic guitar.

Plates--- F17/ F17

Hype Sticker--- Looks like an owner from eternity past made an attempt to peel it off.  Top two corners have light to moderate damage.  Still very presentable, though!  See photos.

Cover--- The shrink was Scotch taped on by a previous owner, so in the main, the cover is well-preserved.  However, there are breaches in the shrink, and slight foxing where the cover was exposed.  Minimal. Top seam has slight crackling in the slick, but is not split.  Back has dulled in places, but very slightly.  It’s mostly noticeable down the mouth.  Shrink has taken the force of ringwear, and if you gently pull it away from the cover, you will see that it did not transfer. 

There are breathe holes on both the front and back in the shrink.  Shrink has torn at the top, and some is missing.  See photos.

Labels--- NM.  Full stop.  NO spindle marks.  OK, don’t full stop.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Yellow 1966 Capitol inner sleeve is present and in very nice condition.  One side seam has a center one-inch split.  Other than that, it looks nearly new.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!) 

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
