John Lennon – Plastic Ono Band Genuine 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the dark green Apple labels dating to on or before the original release date of 11th December 1970. Catalogue number PCS 7124
A superb copy which is housed within its original fully laminated 1st issue cover. Side two appears unplayed side one appears to have been played only once.
One of Lennon’s finest solo works. Written and recorded when he was doing his ‘primal screaming’ sessions. David Bowie commented on this record, stating it was the most honest musical work ever recorded. Amazing tracks such as God, Love & Working Class Hero.

Visual: Side 1 MINT- Side 2 EXCELLENT+
Fresh and glossy playing surfaces which appear ‘as new’ when viewed in strong daylight. Under a strong halogen desklight some light micro marks and whispy sleeve removal marks are revealed. The disc lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Labels: MINT-
A stunning and fresh set of labels which are now 45 years old. Side one is essentially MINT indicating that the vinyl on side two has never been played. Side two has one very faint spindle trail indicating that side one has been played only once.
Audio: EXCELLENT-
As with the album Imagine, the audio on these UK 1st pressings had some inherent surface noise. This copy has some audible surface noise and light static on some of the quieter passages although all the music signals are completely unworn and distortion free.
Cover
EXC+ to MINT-
Housed in it’s original fully laminated cover with its ultra thin spine. A strong and vibrant example. These first issue covers are extremely tough to find in this collectable condition, most have not survived well. This cover is the exception to the rule. There are a couple of light marks and the odd light thumbnail to the front panel. The back panel has natural ageing along the bottom age but apart from that is virtually flawless. Retains its overall freshness. Just a whisker away from a nr mint grade.
