READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP Revolver Record Club Green Target Label 1969 NM/ EX Vinyl!

This is a really good copy.  Though it isn’t NM, the vinyl is pretty darned close.  It might not be the keeper copy for us hardcores, but it occupies the space between great first copy and great resellable inventory.

For those who are still trying to figure out the fuss on Record Club issues, this copy is a good place to start for its condition AND content.

Vinyl--- NM/ EX.  Side 1 looks unplayed NM.  Side 2 has one visible, very soft scuff through “Good Day Sunshine,” and one very light angel hair that you will need a bare bulb to even find.  After that, this side is also unplayed-looking NM.

The photo of the scuff has been brightened in order to show the soft nature.  Under normal room lighting, it’s exactly half as visible.

Plates--- H1/ H1.  Catalogue number includes the extra “8,” making these plates the record club plates.

NOTE:  For those unfamiliar, Record Club issues were pressed from the same tapes that were prepared for the 8-track tapes of the day.  Therefore, they contain different mixes in some cases.

Cover--- Solid VG.  That doesn’t mean crumpled-up newspaper.  Three white bars in the black background on the top left corner makes this the Green Target-appropriate cover.

Front and back slicks show almost no wear at all, which is odd for a black and white cover.  But the top and bottom seams have been repaired with Scotch tape, not by me!  Spine is still strong, very legible text.

Also, looks like someone tried and failed miserably to attempt Ringo’s signature, also not by me.  See photo.  It looks more like “Rinde Strech” with four stars under it instead of just one.

Labels--- NM/ NM.  Both labels look 1969-brand new.  NO spindle marks.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Issued in a plain white sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show through.  This sleeve is Excellent, nice and flat and NO SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 16.

VERY nice copy.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
