They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. For those who enjoy behind-the-scenes looks at how your favorite records were made, this is a very interesting study.  Some of the session tapes weren’t that different from the released versions, such as “Photograph” and You’re Sixteen,” but that’s because those guys were so good that they could build the song from scratch with no outtakes.

Other songs have stripped-down versions before certain overdubs were recorded, so that you can hear the instruments laid bare or alternate vocals from Ringo. 

For those who have never heard the super-rare long version of Six O’Clock, there’s a really cool revelation here, which is that they didn’t record that extended ending along with the end of the song.  It was recorded as an extension piece that was later edited onto the end of the song, but was eventually scrapped from the commercially-released LP.  The only way you could get it was either on the promo LP from 1973, or the original release of the cassette, which didn’t last long in the stores.

This LP has four different mixes of that extended section, which features Paul’s vocal vamping on some, Ringo on others.

Vinyl--- EX/EX.  Both sides shine nearly new, with the exceptions of just a few short and light scratches.  Pressed in virgin vinyl.

Plates--- Catalogue number 87018-A/87018-B.  Matrices 33045/33045-X

Cover--- VG+.  Very light whitewear, one corner has a push-in.  Just a little yellowing, but NO SEAM SPLITS.

Labels--- EX/EX.  Both labels look brand new, with the exceptions of maybe one little spindle mark per side.

Inner Sleeve--- EX.  Original inner sleeve has the nice, thick white paper with the plastic liner interior.  Sleeve has barely yellowed, if at all.  Some very light wrinkling keeps this sleeve from a NM grading.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
