Welcome to 20th Century Collectables
The Beatles – 'Rubber Soul' Genuine 1965 UK 1st issue dating to the original release date of 3rd December 1965 on the yellow & black Parlophone labels, PMC 1267. Comes in its original 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve.
20th century collectables is pleased to offer this stunning copy of 'Rubber Soul' with MINT audio and MINT- vinyl.
'Rubber Soul' is now considered by many to be a masterpiece; with tracks such as, ‘Norwegian Wood’, ‘Michelle’ and ‘In My Life’, it was a major turning point in The Beatles career. Written and recorded in October and November of 1965, it is quite astonishing that they met the Christmas deadline for 1965.
With the final mixing completed as late as 15th November, the album was finally cut on 17th, 19thand 23rd November 1965 and lacquers were rushed to the EMI pressing plant in Hayes, Middlesex. These superb -4 pressings formed part of the initial press run and were available to buy in the shops on the 1st day of issue in December 3rd 1965.
Happy bidding and good luck!

CONDITION
Disc
Visual: nr MINT
Beautiful vinyl which is free from any major marks or scuffs. Side 2 can only have received a maximum of 3 or 4 plays in the last 48 years whilst side 2 has probably received no more than 5 or 6 plays. The vinyl appears mint in strong daylight with a beautiful rainbow sheen, even under a strong halogen desk light nothing much more is revealed other than one or two of the faintest of light surface marks and whispy sleeve removal marks and only visible when the record is angled. The record lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: MINT
Stunning and flawless audio throughout and vastly superior in audio quality to the -1 pressings. The record plays as quietly as a CD but with all the analogue richness of vinyl. The easily damaged, ‘Nowhere Man’, ‘Girl’ and ‘In My Life’ are absolutely stunning and are free from any distortion or groovewear as is the rest of the album. A true audiophile copy which will not disappoint, revealing all the detail and intricacies of the original EMI master tapes.
Labels: EXC+/nr MINT
A great set of labels with evidence that the record has only been played a handful of times in its 48 year history. Side 2 carries the KT tax code.
