READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
Beatles LP Rubber Soul 1975 Apple IMPOSSIBLE “All Rights” Variation in Shrink, NM!
The “All Rights” disclaimer appears just below the Apple’s stem on Side 1, identically to the far more common Los Angeles pressing. However; the Side 2 label has the disclaimer under “The Beatles” on the left-hand side of the label. See compere photos for Los Angeles’ Side 2 placement of the disclaimer.
This “All Rights” variation is so seldom-seen that it’s doubtful you’ll ever come across another one within your lifetime. Since 1975 when this copy first appeared, I’ve seen two, and the second copy was just last week. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to offer you this one.
That’s 50 years apart, you guys.
**This is the copy that is pictured in my books on flash drive, available now. Be sure to pick up a copy for a lot more label variations, which you’ve never seen before! **
Vinyl--- NM/EX. Side 2 has just a few very short and faint lines, which you’ll need a proper light source to see.
Plates--- H19/H24. Machine-stamped letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.
Cover--- EX. This is the copy I bought in 1975, and I kept it in the shrink, as I did with most of my purchases. Cover has held up well. Shrink has dulled from being in storage.
Just a few dings down the mouth on the front cover, light uniform yellowing of the back. And I mean light. Shrink has taken 99% of the ringwear and dirtwear. Gently pulling the shrink away from the cover reveals that the cover is clean. NO SPLIT SEAMS.
Original price sticker is still on the front cover, along with the dept. store department tag.
Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the front cover. One is in the brown “S” in the word, “Soul.” The other is due south, in George’s hair, just above his left eye.
Labels--- NM/NM. Labels look 1975-brand new. NO SPINDLE MARKS.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- VG+. Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present. Some very light wrinkling and record outdent. NO SPLIT SEAMS.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.
RIAA: None
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
