READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles LP Sgt. Pepper 1975 Apple Scrolling “All Rights” STUNNING Top Copy, NM!

Those who try to complete this run know how tough these are to find in top condition.  Pressed for less than 3 months way back in 1975 due to two different variations of the disclaimer, and only out of the Jacksonville plant, this run is VERY scarce.  There will never be a need to upgrade this one, even for the pickiest collectors.

This copy also has a funky little extra in the gatefold, which I’ve only seen a couple of times.

Vinyl--- NM/NM.  Not a grade I’m comfortable using unless it’s true.  In this case, it’s true.

Plates--- B14/J28.  Machine-Stamped letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Jacksonville.

Cover--- EX.  Minimal wear to top and bottom seams, a little wear to the spine all the way down.  Light ringwear to the top back cover.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

Gatefold--- NM.  Due to the gatefold slick having been misseated slightly to the right, two things occurred.  First, the slick has created a long bubble the length of the way down, to the left of Paul.

But much more interesting, when this shift occurs, it can sometimes expose the factory technician’s handwritten MONO catalogue number at the bottom left corner by Ringo. 

You can clearly tell that this number is printed on the slick, because the last digit, which is a “3” is tucked under the fold in the corner of the slick.  If you still need further proof, you can tilt that corner to the light, and see that it doesn’t reflect, like ink that was written on the slick would do.  You can also see that there isn’t any indents that a pen point would make.  Definitely a printed reference number that was meant to have been covered in the manufacturing process.

Insert--- EX.  Very well-preserved.  Very flat and full gloss.  A very light record outdent at the top.  Back has barely yellowed.  One of the best inserts from this run that I’ve ever seen.

Labels--- NM/NM.  Factory-fresh labels look newly-printed, NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- EX.  Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Very well-preserved.  A light wrinkling, and that’s all.  Razor-flat corners.  NO YELLOWING AT ALL, NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

**Stunning beautiful copy.  It’s the only one I’ve found in this condition in 50 years, and it’s the copy featured in my two-volume set on flash drive, of rare American Beatles pressings available this Christmas season.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
