Description

PLEASE NOTE:  I was contacted by enough of my regular customers who had mentioned that they preferred that my listings end on Saturday nights, rather than Sunday nights.  Let’s try it.

Beatles LP The Amazing Beatles 1965 Mono in Shrink

Taking a page from the Vee Jay playbook, ATCO released this album on a subsidiary label, which is a repackaging of the “Ain’t She Sweet” LP, with two changes.  First, this album removes two tracks by The Swallows (“How Do You Do It” and “I’ll Keep You Satisfied”), and then of the remaining tracks, they completely scrambled the running order.  Yes, that should do.  Nobody will notice…

Vinyl--- VG+.  Would be NM had it not been for some weird manufacturer’s dots on both sides that don’t affect play.  You can’t feel them with your fingertip.  They just look very ugly.

Plates--- CLN-12179-A/ CLN-12180-A 5-11-65 and 6-10-65 hand-etched into each side.  “Audio Matrix” stamped on both sides.  “AT” hand-etched on both sides.

Cover--- NM.  1965 brand new-looking.  Shrinkwrap is actually a heavier plastic that did a remarkable job, keeping this cover snow white.  Structurally as solid as the day it was shrinkwrapped.  No fading, bright, bold colors!

Labels--- NM.  They look just like they did when in the summer of 1965, when some bee-hived, cat-eye glasses-wearing teenager with braces and pimples was disappointed that she got fooled again, not realizing that she had just bought a rare album.

Inner Sleeve--- Generic white sleeve with die-cut hole to show through is provided.  No inner sleeve was present when I picked up this copy.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Shipping is $4.16 for Media Mail for up to 3 single or double albums, excluding boxed sets within the U.S.  $4.00 covers shipping for up to 5 singles within the U.S.  eBay doesn't allow discussions or requirements on protecting your orders during transit, so please ask.

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced.  You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me.  Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services.  Much appreciated.

I ship on Mondays and Thursdays.  This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received.  Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending.  I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.
