Beatles LP The Early Beatles First Pressing 1965 in Shrink w/ Price Tag VG+ Vinyl

READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Vinyl--- VG+ both sides VISUALLY GRADED.  Plenty of original gloss with only a modest amount of light scuffs present per side.  Plays back with surface noise.

Plates--- A1/ B2.  Early plates.  This copy has the pre-1964 Scranton insignia before the “IAM” triangle.  An anvil, which looks like an open book, is in the dead wax on both sides.

Cover--- Nice VG++. Still in original Capitol Records shrinkwrap, the cover is 90% beautiful and white.  There is some yellowing down the mouth on both sides, and some light dirt has made its way into the shrink, noticeable on the back.  Otherwise, this cover is muscular strong, and isn’t in any danger of splitting.  The shrinkwrap did its job admirably over the last 57 years!

Shrinkwrap--- There are two breathe holes on the front in the shrinkwrap.  One on Paul’s chest, the other on the tail of the letter, “e” on the word, “The.”  See photo.  Original price tag is still affixed to the front cover.

Labels--- NM/ VG++.  Side 2 label has a couple very light spindle marks.  Capitol logos are from the 1963/64 batch, with the dark cobalt blue color.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- This early copy has a blue Capitol inner sleeve, rather than the 1965 olive green sleeve.  Sleeve is split about four inches at the bottom center seam.

RIAA: None.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
