Some pretty hard-to-find, rarely seen items up this week. Have a look at them all!
Beatles LP The White Album First Pressing Complete
Vinyl--- Both discs, all four side, look spectacular. Not quite store stock new, but man, these are a very easy VG+. Each side has just a few short, very light needle marks. The worst (or most visible) is a light scuff across “Yer Blues,” which the stylus can’t detect upon playback. I tend to grade conservatively, so a lot of collectors would grade this set as VG++. These discs do play back with some static, due to being is storage for several decades. But this is a perfect candidate for a good remoisturizing with a VPI cleaning. Gorgeous-looking vinyl.
Plates--- Late LA pressing from the first run. H70/ H68/ H74/ J66
Cover--- Structurally solid, small splits to the top and bottom right edges, an inch or less. Gatefold seam is center-split just over an inch. Front and back covers are moderately soiled. Number on front cover: A1508669. (Note to newbies: A million five is NOT a low number.)
Labels: All four are beautiful, store stock new-looking. Not one spindle mark among them. Sides two and four have the “Subsidiary of…” disclaimer.
Poster: VG. Aged since 1968. Lots of finger divots, a very few tiny tears. Presents very well, but does show signs of having been handled.
Photos: John, George and Ringo are practically in near mint condition. I hate to give these up. All have the “Printed in USA” circle, as well as the copyright “Apple Records, Inc.” disclaimer at the bottom left margin. Paul’s photo may have been replaced, as it is missing the disclaimer. His photo also has a couple finger divots. All four photos have not dulled in the least, are full gloss and shiny, and three of them are definitely original 1968 issued.
Good-looking record.
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. I’m selling these records in order to meet my rent, bills and doctor’s appointments. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
