READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles LP Yesterday…and Today Apple TOUGHEST Text and Font Typeset EXCELLENT Vinyl!

There were two typeset variations for the “Yesterday…and Today” Apple issues that are still fairly easy to find.  The most common has all caps for the title, and the other uses a combination of upper and lowercase font.  Both of those variations also have counterparts for the “All Rights Reserved” variations from 1975.

This font only out of Winchester, and only for a very short period of time between 1971 and 1974 can be found, but only with a lot of time and patience.  See photos for comparisons of the other two Apple fonts, and then check for this one in your collection.

This example has Excellent condition vinyl!

Vinyl--- Excellent.  Didn’t I just say that?    =:0)

Plates--- W6/ W6.  Hand-etched delta symbol in the dead wax makes this copy a Winchester pressing.

Cover--- Strong VG.  On the one hand, the graphics are bold and colorful, front cover has full gloss.  But on the other, top and spine have splits a few inches long.  See photos.

Labels--- NM, both labels.  Beautiful, brand new condition!

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Generic white sleeve with no die-cut hole for the label to show through, VG+ condition.  Nice and flat, slightly yellowed, 2-inch split at the center bottom.

NOTE:  If anyone has a copy of this typeset font from the “All Rights Reserved” or the “Mfd. By Apple Records” disclaimer on the Side 2 label variations, will you please contact me?  I have never seen one, and I’ve been trying to confirm their existences for 40 years now.  Thanks!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
