Description
Great example of the complete and original, extremely rare and Limited Edition UK box set, catalogue No. PXS 1. I have owned this since I bought it in 1970. I am not a collector nor an expert but I will do my best to describe each item as acurately as possible.
The outer slip case is in VG condition with just a little damage on the top edge which was repaired long ago (see photo) and a very small area of black lamination missing from a couple of the edges. Photos on the front are all clear and glossy.
The much prized Get Back Book is in Excellent+ Condition being completely intact, clean and glossy with only the slightest of creases at the bottom corner of the first inside page and the tiniest of delamination on the front bottom corner (just noticeable on the photo).
The album sleeve has the Red Apple on rear and is in VG condition, with only a few scuffs along the edges and a little delamination along the opening. All photos and text, including that on the spine, is clear and glossy.
The outer tray for the book is in VG+ condition with only one tear along one edge (see photo).
The inner tray, usually the most vunerable part of the set, is in VG++ condition having only minor damage at the internal corners and two small tears vertically along one edge. However, this is of course the original tray and not a modern replacement.
The LP is in VG condition having only minor surface scuffs but no deep scratches. It plays well with no skips or loud clicks or pops and still retains that warm, full sound you get from vynil. Matrix numbers are Side 1: YEX 773-2U, Side 2: YEX 774-2U.
The white inner sleeve is VG condition having only a short split along two of the edges and PCS 7096 written on the top edge.
All in all a very good collectable set.
