THE OUTER BOX:-

The outer box is in excellent condition, with only a small amount of rubbing wear on the opening edges.  Other than a few light creases in the laminate, it’s in very good condition.  (See Picture) A very well looked after example with no heavy damage whatsoever.

THE INNER TRAY:-

The inner tray is in excellent shape with no tears at all, it has flattened slightly over the years, but it would be hard to find an original in better condition.

THE RECORD COVER:-

This is the original early Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd single wallet cover with the green apple logo on the rear. Apart from a few very light creases in the laminate and slight record ring the cover is in near mint condition. (See Picture) It’s in superb original all round shape, bright laminate, sharp round spine, no bent corners.

THE INNER SLEEVE:-

This is the original plain white sleeve, with the “PATENT No’s 1125555 & 1072844” and “Made in Great Britain” text.  It has turned a slightly creamy colour, there are no creases or bent corners. In fact absolutely mint!!

THE VINYL:-

This is a heavy vinyl pressing, both sides still retain a glossy shine. Apart from a few light marks this is a top example of this super rare LP. Very hard to find a better example in this condition. I played the album yesterday for the 1st time for about 30 years there are a few minor clicks, and slight background noise on the silent bits between tracks and no jumps, none of which really detract from the overall listening experience. Not bad at all for a 38 year old!!

THE LABELS:-

Both Apple labels are in stunning shape, with only the lightest of spindle traces evident. Near mint condition.

THE BOOK:-

This original book is in excellent condition, Front and back laminate covers are clean and bright with no creases. There is very minor rubbing on the top and bottom edges of the spine. All in all a fantastic example in near mint condition.

Overall you will be hard pushed to find a better looked after, “ORIGINAL EXAMPLE” of this classic BOX SET from 1970.
