Description
The rare - and beautiful - Let It Be box set, only sold in the UK for around six months. These are getting harder and harder to find, especially in decent condition.
This is a true first press with the red apple logo on the back of the LP and a -2U matrix on the vinyl.
The box is in good condition for its age (nearly 50!). It shines and is still really sturdy. It has light wear around the edges and a small split of about 2 inches on the left side (over-enthusiastic opening over the years!). The top strip has also come unglued at one end but is easily fixed. The book is in excellent condition - no creases or loose pages - barely used. One of the best books I've seen. The LP cover is in good condition with the red apple logo on the back. It still has its original white inner sleeve. The vinyl is visually very good - shiny and not much wear on the spindle-hole. Playback is fine throughout - although I did detect a slight skip on track 1 - but the machine I used was very cheap and lightweight (just to test it - I don't have a player myself). It is a -2U matrix on both sides - the earliest possible version! The outer tray is a little worn - it does have a split across one flap (pictured). The inner tray and poster are replacements. The poster was only ever supplied as an extra at the time.
This is, overall, a very good copy of a 50 year old classic. It will be sent first class, signed, and safely packed.
