This fine & complete example of their UK box set (PXS 1) dates from Spring 1970 release and contains all original components:
The 'GET BACK' 164-page soft-cover book featuring photographs by Ethan A. Russell & text by Jonathan Cott & David Dalton.
'Let It Be' UK pressed LP on Apple Records: PCS 7096
Matrices: YEX 773-3U & YEX 774-2U
Vinyl weight: 140g
Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with green Apple logo on the rear panel.
Complete with 'Apple Records' copyright' worded inner-sleeve.
N.B. The 'PXS 1' catalogue number did not appear anywhere on the package, it was for catalogue/ordering purposes only.
CONDITION
Fully intact & in-shape, the front panel is clean & glossy with just some very fine wispy marks from storage. The only significant sign of wear is a small bump to the upper right corner. All edges are sharp and undamaged and both upper and lower edges are smooth & uncrushed.
This easily worn component is present here in fine condition. Both of the fold-over flaps are unrubbed and uncreased and even the exposed outer edges are unworn & undamaged.
Inner Tray: EXCELLENT -
This most fragile component intact with just small tears to two corners in the tray where the book once sat.
Book: EXCELLENT -
All pages are fully intact with none loose or missing and the spine has not been 'cracked'. The cover is clean & glossy with just a single light wrinkle to the front cover and four small 'thumbnails' on the rear cover. There is also and dedication written on the flyleaf.
DiscLabels: EXCELLENT +
An outstanding set with no more than one or two faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual/Audio: EXCELLENT +
Pristine deep-gloss playing surface which retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shine. Apart from some small & light turntable scuff marks around the edge on aside 1, there is little to fault on their well cared for disc. Played only once or twice at most, the sound throughout is clean and unworn throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A fine clean & unworn example which retains a superb unworn high-gloss laminate with just a single small 'thumbnail' to the front panel and a few wrinkles to the spine. Apart from a small bruise to the lower left corner, there is little else to fault.
