THE BEATLES - 'LET IT BE'
1970 UK *BOX SET* (PXS 1)
**COMPLETE**
This rare UK box set, designed by John Kosh, comes complete with: outer slip-case, both inner trays, LP and exclusive softback book showing candid colour and black and white pictures by Ethan A. Russell of The Beatles during filming and recording.
The 'PXS 1' catalogue number did not appear anywhere on the package, it was just used for ordering purposes.
This is an 'un-restored' example & no black ink has been applied to any component.
Outer Slipcase: VERY GOOD
Strong and clean dislaying general handling/storage wear & minor wrinkles but no major faults.
The corner & lower edge bear some natural shelf wear & the opening edges too have some light wear but no tears or feathering.
There is a rub along the lower front edge but no other significant or major signs of wear.
Trays
Outer: VERY GOOD
Still in-shape with some light creases to the flaps & rubbing to the edges & corners but no rips, tears or other major damage.
Inner: VERY GOOD PLUS
Complete & in-shape, with some light creases & small stress tears to three corners where the book sat - but none have completely separated.
Book: EXCELLENT PLUS
High-gloss, uncreased cover with just extremely minor handling wear but no loose, damaged or missing pages.
A firm 'uncracked' spine & credits printed on page 8.
LP
This disc is on the dark green Apple label: PCS 7096 with the 'Apple Records..' rim text.
It is housed in a fully laminated, 'Garrod & Lofthouse' EXPORT cover with the Parlophone logo on the reverse.
Contrary to popular belief, these sets were issued just with red Apple logos. Green logos and occasionally export covers, as is the case here were used.
I have not exchanged this covers and can guarantee 100% that it is the one which was originally supplied with this set.

Misaligned text printing on side 2 label.
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean and bright surfaces bearing an occaisional light hairline stylus scratch & sleeve removal paper hairlines directly under a halogen desk lamp.
Clear & warm sound with just minor background in quiet passages & an occaisional light tick but no major faults.
Quality vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean & glossy bearing just some light creasing & shelfwear, but no major faults.
