Beatles Let It Be UK BOX set with APPLE poster Ex cond NO RESERVE
MUCH SOUGHT AFTER UK FIRST PRESSING in excellent condition with the added bonus of the hard to find Apple poster. This rare UK box set designed by John Kosh is 100% complete with the outer and inner slip-cases, the inner tray that holds the get back book, GET BACK book, LP and Apple Records promotional poster - the box set is incomplete without this poster – which is becoming hard to find - a totally genuine & 'un-restored' example, with all original trays and no black ink or adhesive substance applied to any component.
Outer Slipcase: fully intact, square and retains the high-gloss laminate on both sides with no tears just minor scuffing at 3 corners and along the edges - but nothing serious and rated excellent.
Inner slipcase: very clean & strong example retains its shape and is uncrushed. Minor “rubs/wear” to the corners and exposed edges but nothing serious. The fold-over flaps are also in excellent condition with no tears.
Inner book tray - the most fragile component of the box set (with more and more “non-original” versions now surfacing). This one is the original and is intact – all 4 sides still held together and is in excellent condition apart from 2 tears that the heavy book has caused - but the book still sits nicely in it.
Get Back Book – a superb copy with high-gloss front and back covers. The spine shows NO sign of damage is intact and unworn. All pages are present, undamaged in 'as new' condition - none are loose or missing.
Let in Be Sleeve: fully laminated, 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the red Apple logo on the reverse. The cover is clean & glossy example with minor wear to the corners.
Vinyl - Heavy vinyl on dark green apple label, is in excellent condition with few minor surface marks that do not affect the sound quality – quiet intro’s to all the quiet songs, universe, let it be, long and winding. Both labels are clean with no writing or spindle wear - catalogue number PCS 7096 and matrix numbers: YEX 773-2U & YEX 774-2U. Maitrix at 3 o’clock = 1 on side 1 and 2 on side 2; L and R on side 1 & 2 respectively.
Inner sleeve: is the original white inner sleeve with Made in Great Britain and 'Patent No. 1,125,555.
Poster: The box set is considered incomplete without the inclusion of the Apple records poster. Its factory folded and in a nice clean condition without any writing, pin holes just a few creases and small ¾ inch rip along the fold but cannot be seen when folded.
A great collectors item in excellent condition that would be hard to upgrade. P&P will be at cost and sent registered post (as it is a rare item and this will protect both buyer and seller). I will calculate cost once auction has ended.
