THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO'/'P.S. I LOVE YOU'

This early 1st UK pressing of The Beatles' debut UK 45 dates from initial October 1962 release and is on the red & silver Parlophone label: 45-R 4949

Both labels include the 'Made In Gt. Britain' text and have 'Ardmore & Beechwood' publishing credits.

A 'ZT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'Love Me Do label and in both run-outs.

N.B. The version on this 45 features Ringo on drums and differs significantly from the LP cut which employed session drummer Andy White.

Housed in its original coloured 'beach striped' Parlophone company cover.

Labels: EXCELLENT

Both labels are clean & unblemished with the only blemish being a tiny scratch below the side 2 catalogue number, but no writing, stickers or other signs of its 49 years.

Visual: VERY GOOD

Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy but do bear several light surface marks and hairlines consistent with frequent play, but nothing deep or feelable. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: VERY GOOD

This copy has been played many times and whilst a little light background in audible on both tracks, there are no clicks, pops or any other audible distraction to spoils the superior sound of this historic 45.

Cover: VERY GOOD

General light storagewear, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
