1967 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* DOUBLE EP SET
This excellent all-round 1967 UK 1st MONO pressing double EP set is on the black & silver Parlophone labels: MMT 1
All labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in centre of labels 2 & 4.
Housed in a outer laminated, storybook picture cover with blue centre lyric sheet.
The set is complete with both its original white inner-sleeves.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18435-1, 4-1 & 6-1, 7-2
Stamper codes: 4/RA, 5/GPL & 4/HP, 1/LD
CONDITION
All Labels: MINT
All labels are perfectly clean & unmarked, each with no discernable tiny spindle marks around any of the unworn centre holes.
Both discs visual: EXCELLENT +
All playing surfaces are extremely clean & retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shines and are unmarked in strong daylight. Close examination of each directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals nothing than some harmless wispy paper hairlines but nothing I would call a scratch. All sides lie 100% flat wen playing with no dishing or warping to either disc.
Play: 1. EXCELLENT + 2. EXCELLENT
This well looked after copy has clearly been barely, if ever played, and the sound throughout my careful play-check at volume was perfectly clean & unworn with no traces of any groove/playwear on any track. Apart from a touch of light background on the 'Fool On The Hill' and again on the introduction to 'Blue Jay Way' there is little else to fault audio-wise on this higly respectable copy.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A clean strong & glossy example which is hard to fault. Apart from two faint indentation lines on the rear panel the outer laminate is unblemished and shines 'as new'. Inside is clean & undamaged with just a few tiny age-related spots on the 1st page but no further blemishes throughout. The three central staples are clean with not a hint of rust to them and all seams are all unstressed and the spine unworn.
Inner-sleeves
VERY GOOD
These are a little tired but are easily be replaced.
