THE BEATLES - 'MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR'
This EXCELLENT UK 1st MONO 2-EP set dates from initial December 1967 release on the black & silver Parlophone labels: MMT 1
All labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centres of labels 1 & 3 as well as in all run-outs.
Disc 1: Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18435-1 & 7XCE 18434-1
Stamper codes: 6/GHH & 5/RRR
Disc 2: Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18436-1 & 7XCE 18437-2
Sstamper codes: 4/GHG & 12/GDH
The package is contained within a lavish outer laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed picture cover containing a stapled 32-page full colour booklet featuring photos and a strip cartoon of the original story, together with a blue central lyric sheet.
Both discs are individually housed within their original plain white inners.

All Labels: EXCELLENT +
All are clean & bright with just a small number of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole. Slivers of the silver centre hole markers are still present in the centre of the side 1 & 3 labels.
Both Visual: EXCELLENT +
All playing surfaces are extremely clean & retain all of their factory shine and bear no noticeable marks or wear in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some harmless wispy paper hairlines but nothing I would call a scratch or any other significant marks or wear.
Both Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
It's tough to find a good sounding mono set, but this example is fortunately is an exception. Both sides have been carefully but in no way overplayed on good equipment and consequently all tracks on both discs play cleanly and clearly with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion. In fact, apart fromm a single click on the introduction to 'I Am The Walrus', there is nothing to fault audio-wise throughout this superior sounding set.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A superb vibrant & strong example which retains all of its high-gloss laminate with no marks from on the front front & rear.
All corners are in excellent shape with just a small bump to the upper left.
All of the pages inside are fully intact and apart from two small age-spots, are clean & unblemished.
Inners: EXCELLENT
Clean & intact with light storage wrinkles, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
